3WAVES is a technology spin-out of Luna Labs specializing in a virtual motion system for simulation training. It connects to any simulator or headset to deliver synchronized vestibular feedback, enabling enhanced training realism. The technology is built on over fifteen years of vestibular research from the Mayo Clinic, developed under NASA, DARPA, and AFWERX programs, and fielded at U.S. military flight-training sites.
Jeffrey Parker has taken the reins as CEO of 3Waves, Inc as of June 2026, but he began his career as an officer and pilot in the USAF after graduating from the US Air Force Academy. He went on to found the now $6.5B outsourced live tactical airborne training industry (AdAir) through the creation of Airborne Tactical Advantage Corp (ATAC). He guided ATAC through start-up, multiple private funding rounds, and then to public acquisition by Textron Corporation in 2016. With ATAC, he also holds the distinction of having flown as an adversary fighter pilot for 13 Navy "TOPGUN" classes. At Textron, Mr. Parker executed his role as a business unit CEO for three years, working closely with the Textron CEO and Board.
Upon exiting ATAC, Jeffrey D. Parker served as Executive Chairman of Arotech Corporation, a training and simulation, technology and manufacturing firm owned by private equity. Simultaneously, he worked to recapitalize the US Navy's Reserve Fighter Jet fleet from legacy F/A-18's to F-16C/D's which was completed in 2024. He's earned multiple flying degrees and certifications from the USAF, the FAA, possesses a SECRET security clearance, and later pursued on-going education such as the Harvard Business School Owner's and President's Management (OPM).
David Remer leads engineering strategy, product development, and the innovation pipeline for 3WAVES. As 3WAVES' Chief Architect, he has shaped the company's technical direction, defined its applications across flight training and human performance, and advanced the technology from early research toward production and operational use through development programs with NASA, DARPA, and AFWERX.
At Luna Labs USA, David helped build and lead a multimillion-dollar portfolio of physiologic interfacing technologies spanning defense, aerospace, and biomedical applications. For 3WAVES, he has led the acquisition of research funding, shaped customer and partner strategy, guided production planning, and helped build the company's intellectual property portfolio and technical roadmap. David received a B.S. in Bioengineering from George Mason University and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is also a private pilot with a tailwheel endorsement.
Laws Smith leads software development, systems integration, deployment, and operations for 3WAVES. As the platform's architect and sole software engineer, he has taken 3WAVES from concept to a proven, fielded system and engineered the technical foundation that lets it operate reliably in real-world training and simulation environments.
He built the 3WAVES platform end to end: from the real-time core and device firmware, to the integrations that connect it to every major simulator and XR headset, to the validation and feedback systems that keep it dependable in the field. That full command of the platform lets him stand up 3WAVES at new customer sites, support field deployments, and keep a lean technical team moving fast. Laws received a B.S. in Engineering from Washington and Lee University and is completing an M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia. Outside of work, he trains for distance events and works as a semi-professional photographer.
